In 1999, Sotterley became an official Save America's Treasures Project I as part of the White House Millennium Council's program to preserve our threatened cultural heritage.

This made Sotterley a successful candidate for federal and state preservation funds. But preservation efforts for a national treasure like Sotterley will never, ever end.

We solicit funds from the government, corporations, foundations, and the community so we can preserve other portions of Sotterley that need to be protected.
