Please note our office, visitor center, exhibits, and restrooms are closed.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Outbreak Response

Historic Sotterley is respecting and abiding by the Governor Hogan’s guidelines as of March 30, 2020, for the closure of non-essential businesses and the stay at home directive.
Engaging in outdoor recreation while maintaining a safe distance is allowed,
therefore we are still making our grounds available to our community for that purpose.
Our office, visitor center, exhibits, and restrooms are closed.
Please contact Nancy Easterling at  If you have questions.  As much as possible, our staff will be working from home.

This is a changing situation, as our country confronts the Corona-virus and its uncertainty and consequences, all of us at Historic Sotterley wish you and your family health and safety.

Please practice social distancing.  For the safety of others please stay home if you have any symptoms.

How You Can Help

We are grateful to our local community and friends from afar.  You are the reason why Sotterley exists.

In a world of changing realities, the importance of what Sotterley is and what it can uniquely accomplish has never been more relevant or more needed.

Please remember we are a non-profit that receives less than 10% of its budget from the County and State. We rely on the financial support of friends, members, family, and sponsors as well as event income.

You have been the bedrock for all we have accomplished, and You will be the catalyst for our future success.

Keep Sotterley moving forward in times like these.
